About Meg
Hey yall! I'm Meagan, the Meg behind Making It With Meg. I live in the heart of Alabama, and have a passion for creating homemade treats. Whether it's baking sourdough bread in the kitchen, grinding my own flour, piddling in my garden, or fixing thing around the house, I feel most at home when I'm working with my hands. I hope to have a homestead one day where I can have all sorts of animals, grow my own food, and become more self-sufficient!
My start began as early as I can remember. I spent time with my Mamaw in the kitchen, learning to make all sorts of yummy things like biscuits from scratch, and my favorite - Mamaw's strawberry jelly. It puts Smucker's to shame in my opinion. I would work with my Papaw in his wood shop making or fixing things. He taught me how to build birdhouses. And while the adults were busy my cousins and I made swords and shields from scrap wood. My favorite though, was the sled my Papaw and I made. Their love and passions have instilled in me my love for making things. Now, I aim to share with others and learn from them as well!
By creating Making It With Meg, I want to grow others confidence in exploring their creative side both indoors and out. Whether you're just getting started or have years of experience under your belt, I'm here to help and learn! Before you know it, these dying skills will be thriving through us!
